Red raw newbie: first hurdle fail: install postgresql error. Help!

Installed postgresql b4 BUT failed to read your step by step guide and didn't change any settings during setup - as clearly indicated in the guide I read afterwards.

I know, I know...

so I uninstall postgresql, downloaded again, rebooted and attempted a reinstall using the settings you indicate.

Get to step 10 of you postgresql install guide, click next and get an error pop up:




My basic setup:
Vista Home Premium SP1 32-bit 2GB RAM
English (UK)

please help an innocent fool.
