Prior hand histories

I just purchased Holdem Manager and I was wondering if I can get hand histories for opponent players that occured before I bought the software.

Do I have to play someone to get their hand histories and is it only for the hands they play against me?

No it dosent come with built in HH, you need to either play the player or mine the hands from a table using 3rd part software
