Problems with installing and conn to PostgreSQL

Hi,
I was having trouble with installing postgreSQL and I was wondering if you could help. I am running WIndows Vista and have UAC disabled and when I tried to connect to PostgreSQL8.3 it wouldn't so I followed this FAQ http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx and the "start" was grayed out so i went to this FAQ http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx and now when I try to re-install it, the error either says that the account already exists or internal account lookup failure: no mapping between account names and security IDs was done. Ive tried to re-install w/ the 8.3 and 8.2 versions, have any ideas?

TYVM, that was the Bill Gates Ball Buster. That thread was great. I ended up Uninstalling the postgres and deleting the folder and deleting the user accounts that were created. Then I DLed postgresql-8.2.12-1 and that version did the trick. Thanks again for the support.
