Can't import hands over the internet.

I can't import hands to my PC's database using my laptop over the internet (not LAN).

Only I skipped step 6, instead of the dynDNS address I just filled in the external IP of the PC that is hosting the database. I can connect to the database and read from it just fine. Can apply filters and reports. I just can't import.
I have tried turning off my firewalls but this didn't help. Port 5432 is properly forwarded. The import progress field just hangs on "Found 1 files to process..." It doesn't time out or anything.
Both computers are running psql 8 and the config files of the server look like this:

edit: just tried an import over the LAN, this didn't work either but I did get this error: http://i43.tinypic.com/kapg12.jpg

edit2: solved! firewall in the router was turned on.
