Restore won't work--time to give up and revert to pt3?
I want to transfer all HEM data to my new computer. Using postgre 8.3 on both computers. Backed up to flash drive, removed it safely, moved it to new computer and used restore wizard in HEM. Wizard says restore finished but no players and no stats of any kind appear in HEM. I tried both overwriting and creating new database, but no luck. Been messing around with this over a day now. Can find nothing in faq's to help.
The backup & restore utility in HoldemManager will only work for SQL 8.4.
You should instead create a 8.3 .backup file in pgadminIII and then restore it to pgadminIII, read: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...estoreDatabase

Thank you. But why not advise people in HEM itself that Backup & Restore will only work with v4? Instead we go through the whole process where the wizard tells us that backup and restore have finished? Just a suggestion that could save a lot of time and frustration for your customers.
Because HM full install contains Postgre 8.4
