    Default Unclosed Literal String

    Please help! I cannot start HM. I was using version 1.06 and when I started HM up, it says:

    "An error occurred while reading the config//HoldemManager.config file: There is an unclosed literal string. Line 79, position 29.

    Holdem Manager will now backup the old config file and create a new one for you."

    But, when I click OK, another dialog box pops up and says:

    "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immeadiately. Cannot create a file when that file already exists."

    I clicked continue and nothing happens, the program won't start.

    I upgraded to version 1.07 and the same thing happens.

    Here is what appears under the "Details" portion of the dialog box:

    See the end of this message for details on invoking
    just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

    I have an idea if someone can help me out. Can someone send me a copy of their HM config file? If it is the config file that is broken, then I can just replace it right?

    I really need to be able to use HM, so please help me ASAP!

    Please close Holdem Manager and delete the holdemmanager.config file from C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder and then restart HM

    Thanks for the help. It didn't quite work as easily as deleting the config file. I fixed it though:

    I deleted the config file, and then I downloaded the HM installer and installed it again (without uninstalling it first). The program booted up with no problems after that. So I don't know if that was the standard way to fix it but it works now!
