Upgrading postgres problem

Hi,

I am trying to upgrade my postgres from 8 to 8.3

It keeps asking me for a password but I have no idea what it is, I have tried all the passwords I would have put down but nothing seems to work. I am pretty sure I didn't even set one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have a semilar problem,
I have just installed the Holdem Manager and when I start it it tries to connect to postgres 8.3 when it has problems with the password or the username and does no connects.

If your using the latest version of HM when you try to connect to the database and its the wrong password then when it asks do you want to configure it to accept any password just select Yes and try again

If your getting this error during setup then choose a different username and try again

I have clicked on yes when he asked me that and it still doesnt work.
I have tried to ues other usernames and passwords.
