is there a way to programmatically force hand import?

is there a way to force hand import of a specific folder programmatically? i am trying to write a script to import a folder once per hour that is not recognized by "auto-import". if this isn't possible, the only workaround is writing a script to rewrite all hand histories to an auto-importable format?
No, that is not possible. You would have to stop the auto import and manually import the folder. I have no idea if your workaround would be possible, and it is not something I could assist with.
