    Default All players fold SB to steal stat or filter

    I was wondering if there's any way to see how often all players or individual players fold the SB vs a BTN steal or even all players vs whom hero has directly raised from the BTN. I just don't see a stat or filter that matches that description, and it seems that the opponents list report doesn't allow you to add stats at all. Is there a way to get that stat? It's critical for certain button range calculations. Thanks.

    I was not sure how to do this so I asked our QA/Testing Manager and he said:

    "If they compare saw flop vs did not see flop filters results, it should tell them how often everyone folded. I think thats probably the only way to do it. SawFlop + PreflopSingleRaisedPot would show them how often at least one person called."

    Here are two example filters to use in the reports on your selected player or alias* to do what you want, I believe. The first filter should show the hands where the selected player raised the button in an unopened pot but did not get a caller. The second filter will show the hands they did those same actions and did see the flop with at least one caller.

    SawFlop=false and Position=Button AND FirstRaiserPosition=Button and PreflopActionFacingPlayer=Unopened AND PreflopSingleRaisedPot=true
    SawFlop=true and Position=Button AND FirstRaiserPosition=Button AND PreflopActionFacingPlayer=Unopened AND PreflopSingleRaisedPot=true
    *Note: The only way currently to study population stats, beyond the Opponents List view, is to create an alias for those players (click the active player name then select the 'Edit Aliases...' option and create a new alias to add players to) then set that alias to be the active player in the reports for analysis, but please be aware that it can be very resource intensive to link all villains to an alias so you should have a powerful computer with lots of ram if attempting this. If you want to create an alias with a lot of villains you can do it via the NoteCaddy subscription Aliases feature that creates an alias based on a color definition.

    Note: This technique can also cause erroneous results in the reports if some of the villain's you aliased together have played hands against each other. An alias is designed to join 2 or more hero screen names that would not have played against each other so while this is possible to do it is not something we officially support or recommend.

    We also released a new HM3 Range Wizard App that will make population study much easier. We have a free version of the Range Wizard app under the HM3 - Apps menu if you click 'Get HM3 Apps...'.

    The Range Wizard FAQs can be found here and we have a few videos about it here.

    Note: The Range Wizard app will soon get a major update with new features and be renamed to Leak Explorer and you can learn more about those new features here - https://leakexplorer.com/

    Thanks. That method you outlined sounds like it should work, although it might involve manually counting hands where villain ends up seeing flop in SB, but there may be a way to automate it.

    I'm also aware of the potential for erroneous results when creating a composite alias, as you had mentioned that at one point some time ago. I was thinking though, could that be neutralized by always specifying a position? If the population alias is UTG, then it would obviously be impossible for a hand to be included where Player 1 and Player 2 played each other on the same hand. Conversely, if we just looked at a position-neutral stat like PFR, two alias constituents might be counted twice because they both played in the same hand, leading to an errant lifting of the PFR average.

    To be honest, I'm not certain if HM3 has the same discrepancies we warned about with HM2. Although we carried over the warning to HM3, the two trackers use different database engines and newer alias code. Therefore, it's likely that any alias issues present in HM2 have been reduced or eliminated in HM3.
