We are seeking a Senior C++ Developer to join our remote team and contribute to the development of our cutting-edge software, PokerTracker, designed for both Windows and macOS platforms.
Max Value Software, LLC is a pioneer in the field of online poker analytics, providing players with tools to enhance their gameplay and decision-making. Our flagship software, PokerTracker and Holdem Manager, enables users to analyze online hand histories and receive real-time statistics through a Head-Up Display (HUD) at the poker table.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Senior C++ Developer, you will play a crucial role in the ongoing development and enhancement of our software. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the development team to design, code, and implement new features for PokerTracker.
- Optimizing and maintaining the existing codebase to ensure software performance and reliability.
- Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable C++ code using Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Working with cross-functional teams to integrate new functionalities and improve user experience.
- Contributing to task management using Atlassian Jira and collaborating through Slack.
- Utilizing Git/Perforce for effective source code management.
- Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices.
- Providing expertise in C++ development and poker knowledge to drive innovation.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional C++ development experience.
- Proficiency in coding, compiling, and building software using Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Strong interest in and knowledge of poker.
- Experience with task management tools such as Atlassian Jira.
- Familiarity with Git/Perforce for source code management.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Availability from 8-11am EST during weekdays for collaboration.
- Bonus: Knowledge of macOS development and reverse engineering experience.
