Importing Player Tags from old notes
Hi All,
Is it possible to import NoteCaddy Notes to new database?
I am using HM3 and every few weeks I need to make a new database.
Purging hands is HM3 is not working well and I prefer to make a new database from the scratch and re-import hands from last several days.
This is working good for HM3 stats, but I am losing all old Note Caddy player stats - especially "Player Tags".
Actually - my question is how to export/import Player Tags between databases?.

The option that will preserve Notecaddy notes is by exporting the database and reimporting to the new DB.
When reimporting the hands to a new database, as you are doing, when we finish the import we need to redo the Notecaddy notes.
In NoteCaddy - File - Reset notes. Then process all hands in the DB for notes.
This will not save both our own written notations in the HUD notes or the NC.playertags. The NC.playertags allows us to manually pick the image of a badge to show in the HUD.
If by player tags you are referring to the badges or the color definitions with the type of player?
Please post a screenshot showing exactly the playertags you are ferring to as Im unsure to what you are asking.
If playing on Pokerstars the best method to preserve player notes (the ones we write specifically, not NC notes) is to save those in the pokerstars client notes for each player. This is because if/when we reset the notes, that happens fairly often, all the manual inputs get reset as well (manual written notes & NC.playertags).

I mean about the images of a badge we can manually add to HUD using NC.playertags.
When I make a new database and import a regular player notes I am losing these images.
Is there any way I can import them from old database?

It is not possible to save and export the NC.playertags.
When building a new Database and importing the hands we will always have to recreate the notecaddy notes as we are starting from a clean slate.
The manual notations and NC.playertags are assigned manually and saved on the settings of the old DB. So either purging or exporting the whole DB are the only options to save those notes.
There are some suggestions forwarded to the developers on how to improve the way the NC.playertags work, specifically with Pokerstars limitations, but I do not have a timeframe of when it will be implemented or even if it will be implemented.
The way it is set at the moment it poses some issues when cleaning the DB or need to start a new one and preserving that information.

One more question.
Assuming that importing NC.playertags is not powwible now - maybe you have some advices how to improve HM3 purging hands?
This feature is not working - the process takes hours and usually is hanging.
That's why I need to make a new database every month.

Hi,
When the purge hangs it is because it finished already. You can close HM3 and restart it and it will have completed the purge.
When reprocessing notes, Notecaddy will still show the initial total amount of hands in the DB but will only process the avaliable hands. Reseting notes is needed as NC needs to recalculate the results for the new total number of hands.
This is not optimal and there are some improvements in development for the purging option.
What I usually do (talking about Pokerstars case here) is making a new DB every 6 months or a year. Reimport the last 6 months and use the NC.playertags only on the regulars that I play against the most, the ones with most hands.
At some point I started using the Pokerstars notes to print some of the notes from Notecaddy for those villains. i.e - specific info of the most profitable leaks/badges that I gathered from reviewing the triggered badges from my review sessions in replayer to tag the regs using the NC.playertags.
We hope soon to have a better option to migrate those NC.playertag notes.
