Hotkeys For Tagging Hands

Hey I remember this not working a long time ago and decided to try again. If I go HUD Options under 'HUD' menu on top in HM3 and then click on 'Advanced' it states the keys for marking current/previous hands (F8/F9) and keys for copying current/previous hands (F6/F7). I press them in game and search for tagged hands for review after and they never show. What am I missing here?
