Default [HM2] Note caddy doesn’t work on new computer

I have new computer. I can't get notecaddy to make notes on my entire database. It will freezeup when creating notes at the exact same hand everytime. It adds only 65k notes from 9M hands database, every time. I tried format the computer, reset notes, and import hands from Hmarchive insted of database, but nothing help

I get this error when starting notte caddy:

    Hello,

For confirmation, this is in HM2? And by the way, where are you playing from?

9M hands is a lot of hands. Make sure you computer has the specs to manage all those hands plus the amount of definitions you are using.

Use task manager to trace if computer resources are not being overwhelmed while processing hands.

You did the correct troubleshooting reimporting from HMarchive. Next step of that TS is importing in batches from HMarchive until finding out what is the "corrupt" batch that is freezing the app. Usually some very old HHs.

Make sure all HM files/folders are allowed in firewall and AV if using more than windows defender since this is new computer, altough not really linkable yet to this issue.

Let me know if any of this helps.

    Best wishes,

    Ivo Rocha

    Thank you for your answer

I am from Poland. Yes, this is Holdem menager 2. I have HM3 with NC too, but don't like to use this version. My big database is not a problem. Everything works fine on my old computer, and I tried create notes from small amount of hands and with a small amount of definitions but my HM doesn't add notes or adds only a few

I tried also import only new hands and with turned off firawell. I dont have any antivirus.

    Hello,

When importing to the test DB, did you try a couple different batches of hands? Could be the case of the imported batch having "corrupt" HHs.

One thing to try and isolate as well.
Can you try reset notes and process hands but with the "default definitions" only from the "manage my ultimate packs" option. This to isolate if the issue comes from the definitions you are currently using.

We need to understand why its freezing. Most often is HHs or definitions that freeze/slow down the hands processing.

Holdem Manager2 life cycle is by now over. The final stable version is HM2.0.0.8714.0 and NC2.9.9013.0. Let me know if both are up to date on your side.
I must suggest moving to HM3 at this point as all efforts are focused on this project by now.

If HM2 is always "Run as admin" there should be no issues as far as conflicts with AV/firewall.

Let me know if any of this helped. If you still need support please open a support ticket so we can follow up and investigate further.

    Best wishes,

    Hello,

Let me know what exact versions you are running of HM2 and NC on the new computer.

If you are getting that error everytime you start NC try this: http://notecaddy.com/Resetting-NoteC...-settings.ashx

Make a backup of your definitions and config files if needed.

This step will make NC update to the latest version in HM2, NCv2.9.9013.0 and should fix the startup error. Let me know if it also fixes the "freezing" behaviour.

    I have HM2 2.0.0.8714.

If you are getting that error everytime you start NC try this: http://notecaddy.com/Resetting-NoteC...-settings.ashx
It didn't help. It didn't fix neither starting error nor "freezing" behaviour.

    Hello,

Please check if the version of Notecaddy you have installed is 2.9.9013.0. In Notecaddy go to Help - About Notecaddy.

If its still freezing and with that error after the NC reset please open a support ticket and we can try some troubleshooting steps to get it working.

We need to make sure the latest version is installed and also make sure some specific steps are done that might influence HM2/NC behaviour, Windows user account settings, folder permissions and other stuff:

    - follow step 4 to 6 especially: https://www.holdemmanager.com/hud_re...ide%20v1.2.pdf

Open that ticket if you still need some help and we will follow up from there.

    Best wishes,
