    Default 3 important questions

The first question. By NC version 2.6.0.9 in HM2.
I have in the settings set to show a maximum of 2 hands in text form for each note. But at the same time, there were no settings to limit the display of the number of hands in the chessboard. And there, for some reason, now only 2 hands began to be shown, although until the last update of HM2, all hands that fell into the notes were displayed there.

The second question. By NC version 2.9.85.0 in HM3.
I use HUD in the form of badges. In HM2, the HUD stores the registration of each badge to a specific line and the order of badges in the line. In HM3, badges change places as they please. This is what the HUD looks like in the same hand in HM2 and HM3. How to make badges not "walk" in HUD HM3?

The third question. By NC version 2.9.85.0 in HM3.
It does not work to limit the number of text displays of hands in a row to a given number (I have set to show 3 hands in the notes). And sorting notes by priority does not work, although this sorting is the main one in my settings (I have set sorting by effective stack in descending order). When will this be fixed?

    Hello rovanuzo,

    1) For HM2, the latest version now is 2.9.85.0, it was pushed out as a 'stable' version recently. I tried to replicate your issue in v2.9.85.0, but I'm seeing it work as it should - only showing 2 enumerated values in notes, but still showing all values in the heatmaps. I suggest to update your NoteCaddy and then this issue should be solved.

    2) Have you applied a 'priority' to your badge definitions in NC? Are you using OrderedBadges or PrefixedBadges?

The most common way to do it I think is to use Color Definitions for the badges, apply Priority #'s to the Color Definitions, and then use OrderedBadges on the HUD (OrderedBadge1, OrdereBadge2, OrderedBadge3, etc).

Also in NoteCaddy → File → Settings → Note Settings → 'Sorting' you can set to 'Priority' if using this method above.

    3) The enumerated values setting in NoteCaddy does seem to work for Postflop notes, but it seems like maybe it's not working for the Preflop notes from what I can tell. I will create a ticket for the developers to look into this. Thank you for reporting it.

Regarding the sorting notes by Priority not working, I could not seem to reproduce that:

    v3q4W47.png

Are you sure you numbered the prioirities in descending order, or did you order them in ascending? The higher the priority number, the earlier the note will appear (2 appears before 1).

    1) In the latest version of NC in HM2, badges do not appear in the HUD until you make a Vacuum Database. But in HM2 the Vacuum Database is executed with an error.

    2) Of course I applied "priority". I use OrderedBadges in the HUD. I am satisfied with only this option. And "priority" works exactly the opposite for you: in the notes editor "priority 3" is higher than "priority 2", and in the badge "priority 2" is higher than "priority 3". You will somehow come to a common denominator.

Please provide a link to the instructions or video on how to stabilize the position of OrderedBadges in the HUD, so that they do not change the order and do not jump from line to line. I'm a very experienced user of NoteCaddy, HM2, PT4, but I don't understand how to "use Color Definitions for the badges, apply Priority #'s to the Color Definitions, and then use OrderedBadges on the HUD". This is simple for you, but for me it is absolutely incomprehensible.

    3) I am sure that I have numbered the priorities correctly. The notes I wanted to see above have a higher number. But you have the opposite placement algorithm set.

    Hi rovanuzo,

    1) Badges show for me without running a vacuum database. I don't get an error when I do run the vacuum. It sounds like there is some corruption going on and you may need to create a new database in HM2 and/or reset your NC settings.

Here's how to reset NC settings:

Be aware that doing this will change your settings in NoteCaddy back to their default settings.

    *Resetting HM2 NC Settings*
    1. To reset NC to factory defaults, close HM2 and go into: C:\Users\[WindowsUsername]\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager.
    2. In this directory move all of your .xml files into a new folder (these serve as backup files).
    3. Restart HM2, go back into NoteCaddy. Import your ColorDefinitions.xml that you backed up previously (NoteCaddy → Tools → Import Color Definitions).
    4. Once that is done, then go into NoteCaddy → File → Settings, adjust them to your preferences.
    5. Reset and reprocess the notes: http://wiki.assaultware.com/How-to-r...ddy-notes.ashx

    2) Priority for notes and badges always show the higher number first. So for notes 3 priority shows before 2, and the same for badges. If this is not happening for you, can you please show a screenshot showing the priorities and display order? On my end I cannot reproduce what you're saying.

    3) Please try creating a new database and/or resetting your NC settings to see if the problem resolves for you, because for me the priority orders seem correct.

    1) I did everything exactly according to your instructions. Absolutely nothing has changed.

    2) How to make sure that the badges do not" walk " on the lines of the HUD, you also did not answer me. This makes it very difficult for the eyes to find them during time constraints. And this is the problem that worries me the most. I need urgent help! I wouldn't mind a video tutorial or help on TeamViewer.

2,3) About how you have implemented the priority rule.
    https://gyazo.com/0be8f5fe92f33d408d926b55ec3fd25b
The screenshot (on the right) shows how the priority is set. In the same screenshot (on the left), you can see that in the notes editor, the notes (green) with a higher priority are located higher, that is, correctly. And again, on the same screen (in the center), you can see that in the badge, the notes (again green) are set in reverse order relative to the priority.

    Hi rovanuzo,

    1) That is strange. We may need you to create a support ticket where you supply your configuration with us so we can test and try to replicate it with your files.

Please create a support ticket here: https://support.holdemmanager.com/support/ticket/94

    In the ticket please provide:
    -A link to this thread
    -Your hands exported from HM2
-Your NoteCaddy Definitions folder from here: C:\Users\[Windows username]\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\definitions

Please .zip the files and upload them to a cloud service like OneDrive, Dropbox, or WeTransfer.com and share the link(s) in the ticket.

    2) I apologize for missing this. For this question I assume you are referring to HM3 and you have set your HUD to 'Arrange in Grid'. When using 'Arrange in Grid' the columns automatically widen to the longest cell in the column so that the grid maintains its alignment. You can uncheck 'Arrange in Grid' for your HUD in the HUD Profile Editor so that the badges are not able to move.

    3) Thanks for the screenshot. I see what you're saying now. In the popups the notes are showing in the correct order that you've set, but the notes in the badges aren't. You have to add the notes in a certain order for a color definition (priority doesn't matter for the badge popups). If I remember right, the first note in a color definition will appear last. So for your example in your screenshot you would add them in the inverse order: 6-9, 9-12, 12-15, 15-18, 18-40 (assuming you want the larger stacks to show first). If this does not help, please share a screenshot of the color definition used for the badge in your screenshot.

    Hey

    1) For HM2, the latest version now is 2.9.85.0,
Where i can find this version? In this thread:
    https://forums.holdemmanager.com/sho...d.php?t=541805

    2.9.83 is last.

. And "priority" works exactly the opposite for you: in the notes editor "priority 3" is higher than "priority 2", and in the badge "priority 2" is higher than "priority 3". You will somehow come to a common denominator.

If i understand it right, this is the same issue? :
    https://forums.holdemmanager.com/sho...d.php?t=542818

If so, then I hope the problem will be fixed, and the sorting in badges will stop changing to the opposite without any tweaks on the part of the user.

    Hi FALOs,

I haven't updated the release notes thread yet, because I'm not sure quite yet about what has been addressed. Anytime you want to update though you can just change the version number in this link: http://www.assaultware.com/notecaddy.2.9.83.0.zip. If you want to try v85, you'd just use this link for example: http://www.assaultware.com/notecaddy.2.9.85.0.zip

Unless I'm misunderstanding, the notes within the badges (the badge popups) don't use Priority. They just appear in the opposite order that they are added into a color definition.

Looking back at your thread you linked you said that you don't use color definitions, so I think that is a separate issue being discussed here.
