Default Can I use 2 different versions of PostgreSQL?

I have PostgreSQL 8.4.7 installed that I use for poker.

For school I need to use version 12+.
Can I have both installed at the same time on windows 7?

Yes, that should be possible. I know in the past I had 2 different versions for HM2 performance testing of 8.4 vs 9.x versions. Each will have it's own server and login/password so you can do your school work using the new version and leave HM2 connected to the 8.4.7 version that is already installed.
