Default Is it possible to turn off automatic updates (without prompt)

I would like to ask if it's possible to keep checking for new updates at startup, but don't install them automatically. This is basically how HM2 worked, there was a prompt for a new update, the user could see the changelog and select whether he wants to install it.
In HM3 it didn't ask me anything today (11.11) and updated to the latest release which wasn't working and I was unable to use HM + I've spent multiple hours trying to find out what's the problem (later I found the post here on the forums).
So is it possible to do this? To look for updates but don't install them automatically? If not, would it be a problem to implement it?

The updates should give you an option to install now, install when you exit, or not install as shown in the image below for me updating from a recent internal beta to the new stable build. Yesterdays update may have behaved differently for some users depending on what version you were using as it was a forced update for all users because of an expired server certificate.

Note: You will receive a prompt to update HM3 any time there is an update available as long as you have enabled the Tools - Settings - General - [x] 'Check for Updates' and [x] 'Prompt for beta updates' options. You can check for new updates via the HM3 - Help - 'Check for updates...' option. You can also check for updates and release notes in our HM3 Releases forum - https://forums.holdemmanager.com/forumdisplay.php?f=278 - or in our FAQs - https://support.holdemmanager.com/su.../Release-Notes
