Recently a new feature has been introduced in the HM3 NoteCaddy, that should greatly improve NoteCaddy performance while playing.
To find and enable this feature, go into NoteCaddy → File → Settings → Data Settings → Check 'Store temporary images on a RAM drive' → Save.
This setting automatically mounts a temporary RAM disk onto your hard drive. This RAM disk takes 1 GB of your available RAM and stores NC data onto it. When you're playing, NC fetches data from this temporary RAM drive. I've noticed that NC is working a lot better especially in bigger databases with a lot of notes created.
When HM3 is shut down (or NoteCaddy is disabled), the RAM drive automatically unmounts and your 1 GB RAM is freed up back to your system.
If you try this feature out, please let us know if you notice improvements, or have any issues with it.
