Default new computer, tourney data didn't import

New computer, imported all my hands no problem. My HUD setups didn't import but that was easy to replicate. But I just noticed that there's a prob with my tourney data.

I play on Playnow.com (Boss), and cuz their software is pretty bad, I have to manually adjust all my tourney results (buy in and winnings). But these adjustments didn't come over when I imported. Is there a way to get them from one computer to another?

It sounds like you manually recreated your database instead of doing a backup/restore of the database. Please see this FAQ to transfer/backup data. This will ensure that you have your hand histories and HUD saved to import into a new computer, and as a backup to restore in case of an emergency. I recommend you do this at least once a month and keep the last 2 or 3 most recent backups (and your \HM2Archive folder) stored on an external drive and/or cloud storage site like dropbox or google drive.

Old thread, but tbh your response never made much sense to me. I followed the instructions 100% afaik, and all my cash game data and all my Stars tourneys came over. The boss media tourneys, every time I play one, i registers as an $11 and usually doesn't capture any winnings. So w every tourney, I have to manually change the BI and winnings. What came over was each tourney w correct date and time, the 'stamped' info, so to speak, but they all came over as $11 with no winnings. What didn't come over was data that I manually change with each tourney.

Boss does not write the buyin information in the hand history files. You will need to use the default buyin -*Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: Hand Importing / Tourney Defaults

and edit previously played tourneys -*Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: Reports / Tournaments/ Tournament/ Tournament Editor

My point was that somewhere between me uploading to the HM cloud, and then re-downloading to a new computer, the manually inputted data was lost. (Old computer is toast.) I certainly hope to not need a new computer for a long while, but 2 years worth of tourney data is now gone, and if it's an easily fixable patch (I have no idea, not very computer literate), it would save the few of us on Boss some anguish in the future.

    Peace,

Thank you for the additional information. You uploaded to Sync - that is not a database backup and restore.

There are a variety of known issues with the HM Sync Beta feature where the results (generally tournament) are not syncing properly for some customers. *We recommend you manually sync your hands on both PCs. *Here is a FAQ explaining how to best keep your original hands on both computers so you can easily sync the hands manually - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: Sync Hands Between 2 PC's Using Dropbox

That is why it didn't bring the information.

Please see this FAQ to transfer/backup data - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: What Files Should I Backup to Protect my Holdem Manager?

This will ensure that you have your hand histories and HUD saved to import into a new computer, and as a backup to restore in case of an emergency.
