Default HM2 Cant connect to database PostgreSQL server

Hi guys, yesterday everything was fine, bought a new pc and install HM2, transfer my huds on it.
I do a 600k HH import, everything is ok. Then i leave my pc running overnight, creating notes of the database imported. Wake up this morning, hm2 is close, and cant connect to postgreSQL anymore. I tried to follow the video from the support page but there is no file postgre****.pid for me into the postgre/data/ file.

Make sure you follow all of the steps in the FAQ. Did you fully update Windows?

This is usually a firewall or windows update issue and the following guide gives a step by step guide:
Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: Can not Connect / Failed to Start PostgreSQL

If you continue to have problems, please duplicate the issue and send us log files with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing:
    - Open Windows Event Viewer's (Control Panel > System & Security > Administrative Tools or Start > Search > 'Event Viewer') > Windows Logs > Applications.
    - Check for any errors and send the information (Save All Events As...).
    - Please send your \HM2Logs folder files as well - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: How Do I Send a Log File to Holdem Manager Support?

When sending any files please zip them (right-click > send to > compressed folder) before attaching them to an email. If the attachment is larger than 10MB please upload them to a file hosting site like dropbox, then right-click > 'copy public link' and paste the download link directly into the support ticket email. If you have any problems with dropbox try using filedropper.com

I have a similar problem - HM can't connect to postgresql after update.
Looks like reseting winsock adapter is for windows vista, right?
    I updated my drivers.
    Can't find anything in c:\temp and/or c:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp , so I guess they are OK.
The thing I don't get it is with updating postgresql. I have 8.4 version, but at they site I can't update this - only 9.6. So what should I do here?

I had the same issue this morning.
The quick solution for me was to uninstall postgreSQL and then uninstall HM2.
Then I downloaded and reinstalled HM2 using the version that you download as if it was the very first install on your PC and then resynced my database from the cloud.

Had the same issue today. The cause was Avira Firewall. Adding Holdem Manager 2 and postgres to allowed applications has solved it.

I uninstalled PostgreSQL and reinstalled then and the problem is fixed. Im now facing another issue. My database is clean, as i gave up on my 800k hands history at my stakes, since hm2 seems not able to run them....
But here s the problem, Now my hands doesnt load into my hm2 from PS, and my hud comes but theres no stats on it. I tried to move the PS HH folder but nothing change. I uninstalled and reinstalled PS and HM2 twice. Its been several days now that i cant play. Anyone aware of a solution here ?

Make sure your site is configured to save hands and that HM2 is setup to auto import those hands.

*Note that we do not support play money hands so you must test/play real money hands when using HM2.

Make sure the poker client and hand histories are both in English. If it is not, you need to change it in the Lobby Options or reinstall the software and choose English.

Make sure that the Site Time Adjustment is properly configured such that the Time Stamp in the Reports for the hand matches your local windows clock time.

Please see this FAQ on how to use table finder if you are playing regular non-zoom type tables.

If you continue to have problems:

Please follow the instructions in this FAQ and reply back with the answers to the 12 questions in that FAQ. Those answers should help us quickly identify your issue, skipping questions will just mean we have to ask again in the next email and will delay the resolution of the issue.

Please enable the Settings > Feature Logging > [x] 'HUDStats' and 'FastPoker' option and increase the Max number of log files option to 10 so old logs are saved with date/time stamps. You can also enable this before you launch HM2 from the Start Menu.

    Please reproduce the problem and:
    - Attach a screen shot of the table/desktop
    - Try to include the Active Sessions tab and/or Sessions Report that also includes your windows clock and poker client lobby clock in the screen shot
    - Save a copy of the original Hand history for the table with the issue
    - Close HM2 and attach your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing.

With all the above information we should be able to narrow down what is causing the issue. If all the information is not included we will need to email you again to request it.

Please zip and email the requested files via the 'Contact Support' link and if there is a forum thread with additional information please link to this thread and let us know your forum name if there are several people in the thread.
