Default inconsistencies when filtering by # of players between HUD and reports tab

    Hello,

I seem to have some inconsistencies in hands that are filtered by # of players on my HUD. It doesnt seem to grab all the hands that are available in the database.

    Heres an example:

I have a total of 9,700 hands on villian A as reported in the 'overall' tab in the reports section. When filtered by # of players 3-6 i have 8,031, and the rest of the 9,700 hands are HU(filtered 2-2).
Now, when i pull up my hand replayer for a 6M hand, the HUD(filtered for 3-6 players) only has a hand sample of 6.5k hands. Why wouldnt it produce the same 8,031 hands like when filtered 3-6 players as per the reports tab?

Some players will matchup correctly and show the same ammount of hands both in the HUD and reports tab when filtered.

The biggest discrpency lies with hero. He has 61,600 3-6 hands in the reports tab while the HUD only seems to show 11K.

Any suggestions are very much appreciated. Thank you.

We limit the replayer HUD for the hero to 20k hands by default for performance reasons. Please see this FAQ for more details and instructions on how to increase that value - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: Setting a max hand value on the replayer

Also make sure you toggle off this option inside of the Replayer: Options > [ ] Use stats up to day of hand

Ok, i did toggle off this option, but the problem is still there.

I'm more concerned about the discrepancies in villains hand samples. Heres another villian im looking at a sample of 951 hands for villian in the replayer filtered players 3-6, while the reports tab is showing that I have 1,165 hands for that same villian filtered for 3-6 players.
It seems as though its my HUD that is off in the reporting of hands and not grabbing all available because its always showing a smaller amount of hands than what I have, and the Reports tab and Sessions tab always seem to line up.

Please try to vacuum/analyze and reindex your database - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: Database Manager (Ribbon)

If you continue to have problems, try the following:

Try creating a new DataBase and import a small portion of your \HM2Archive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: How to create a new database and import previously played hands

If the new database seems to work properly, it sounds like your database might be corrupt. Please continue to use the new database and import the rest of your hands using the steps above. This is why regular backups are a good idea. If your database becomes corrupt you can restore a backup and only have to import the most recent hands (that were played after the backup was created) and edit any tournament results if necessary. I recommend keeping at least the most recent 2 or 3 backups in case the most recent one does not restore properly you can try the previous backup.

Here is a FAQ explaining how to backup your database and all settings in one easy step - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: How does Backup and Restore Database, Settings and HUD configs work?

Please enable the Settings > Feature Logging > [x] 'HUDStats' and 'FastPoker' option and increase the Max number of log files option to 10 so old logs are saved with date/time stamps. You can also enable this before you launch HM2 from the Start Menu - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: Feature Logging

    Please reproduce the problem and:
    - Attach a screen shot of the table/desktop
    - Try to include the Active Sessions tab and/or Sessions Report that also includes your windows clock and poker client lobby clock in the screen shot
    - Save a copy of the original Hand history for the table with the issue
    - Close HM2 and attach your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: How Do I Send a Log File to Holdem Manager Support?

With all the above information we should be able to narrow down what is causing the issue, if all the information is not included we will need to email you again to request it.

Please zip and email the requested files via the 'Contact Support' link here - https://support.holdemmanager.com/ - and if there is a forum thread with additional information please link to this thread and let us know your forum name if there are several people in the thread.

When sending any files please zip them (right-click > send to > compressed folder) before attaching them to an email. If the attachment is larger than 10MB please upload them to a file hosting site like dropbox, then 'copy public link' and paste the download link directly into the support ticket and if there is a forum thread with additional information please link to this thread and let us know your forum name if there are several people in the thread.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have a problem doing that, but it seems like a big step givenn this is the ONLY problem i'm having and everything else is working 100% fine. You don't think it's some option or filter i have checked? Also, the filtering works fine for like 40-50% of villians and screws it up for the rest.

It sounds like there is an issue with the database. These steps will fix any issues with the database.
