Tabs not showing

I cannot see any tabs anymore after upgrading to the latest notecaddy version.

If I click on Create notes for unprocessed hands based on active definitions no tab is coming up. If I click file/new/note definition no tab is coming up. If I try to open an existing note definition no tab is coming up.

However it seems to me that the tabs are not just visible since I can hear that Notecaddy starts to create notes when I click on the create notes link. And when I click on a new note definition and the on save an error message is coming up saying "the note description cannot be blank" so the tabs must be hidden somewhere. But all I can see is the start tab.

Also the note definitions is just dockable. The alternatives are just grey.
