    Default HUD Running Very Slow

Hi there. I understand that this has been answered before.

I have tried some of the recommendations to reduce the memory leak / disk usage of HM2, but it does not seem to be working too well.

I have just over 400,000 hands currently and 6-14 table on average... 18 @ peak times.

I can understand the HUD being a little slow, etc. due to these circumstances, but I am unable to click on the stats (non-customized HUD) to see things such as cbet %, etc. without the HUD blacking out/freezing my poker tables for 5-10 seconds.

Screenshot by Lightshot outlines some of the specs. If more information is needed, let me know.

Any help in making my poker experience using the HM2 HUD just a little better is greatly appreciated... Slowness/lag is expected to an extent, but this is getting ridiculous.

Did you check the Note Caddy settings suggestions? What about leaving the HUD on different tabs/non-hero? Did you try a smaller database?

    Try resetting the HUD.

    1) Start HM2 and Export any custom HUD configs - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...rashing+Issues

    2) Close HM2.

    3) Please create a backup of your settings and reset your settings as explained here - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...fault+settings

    4) Restart HM2

    5) Manually reset your Site Setup > Seating Preferences > for your site/seats and double check your auto import and archive folders.

Try to reproduce the problem using the default HUD/settings. If it works properly you can try importing your customized HUD again that you exported in step 2 above. If the problem returns after importing your HUD you know it is a problem with your HUD Config and you will need to recreate it from scratch or import an older backup of the HUD.

If that solves your problems please email us the files you backed up in step 1 of this email by following step 2 in this FAQ - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...fault+settings

If that did not solve your problems you can restore all of your original settings using the Utilities menu as explained in step 3 of the above FAQ.

What is your hard drive model?

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem and zip/attach your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ger+Support%3F

Please send it to support@holdemmanager.com with a link to this thread.

Currently the main bottleneck of your laptop is the 750GB, 5.400 RPM laptop harddisk HDD.
It is slow, and favors being energy efficient over performance.

There are however a lot of tweaks you can do to improve performance.

WARNING: ALL of these tweaks combined can improve performance 5-20%.
Replacing the laptop 5400 RPM HDD with a SSD--> can improve performance by 200+%.

HUD Settings--> HUD Designer --> turn off show caddy notes / turn off start caddy report on HUD launch--> Apply--> Restart HM2

CLOSE all programs when you're playing a session, that use read/writes on your harddisk! For example CLOSE any (torrent) program that is downloading/uploading data.
