Default Memory leak every 10 minutes

    Hello,
My HM2 freezes and the ram usage keeps rising constantly.
I uninstalled antivirus software, turned off windows firewall, turned off UAC, started HM2 as admin and made sure HMarchive is not in my auto import folders. But the HM2 freeze is still happening, sometimes i cant even open task manager to end task.

    I have windows8 with 8 gb RAM, 1tb Hybrid HDD, i5 4210u processor .

When HM2 freezes: log.txt file, located in the following folder to hm2support@holdemmanager.com:

    C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\

    When it freezes:
-Are you playing multiple tables (12+ tables?)
    -On multiple sites simultaneously?
    -Using NoteCaddy?
-Using a 5+ million hand database
-Playing HU tables, observing 40+ tables
    -Using other poker software?

Does it help if you try disabling Note Caddy? Even if you never bought it the free version is enabled by default. Open HUD Settings, make sure you are on the HUD Designer tab, and uncheck "Show Caddy notes in HUD." Restart HM2.

Please check these 2 FAQs and try all the steps there to see if they help:
    - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...%28Firewall%29 - Resolves issues where security software continually try to scan files and processes which can slow down your PC
    - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...rts+%26+HUD%29 - General tips and solutions for performance issues

A few other things you could try to see if it helps when playing:
    - Does it help you disable the Options > Settings > General Settings > Miscellaneous > [ ] 'Automatically Refresh' option and restart HM2?
    - Try leaving HM2 on the 'Home' tab when playing.
    - Try picking a villain in the reports that only has a few hands in your database instead of your hero and restart HM2.
    - Try creating a new smaller database with just hands from the past 1 or 2 months to use when playing - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...y+played+hands

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem, describe exactly what you were doing, and email your \HM2logs folder -

Thanks, disabling Note Caddy fixed my problem.

When the free version of the note caddy is running HM2 uses %30 CPU on idle even when no poker client is running. And apparently this caused the memory leak and eventual crash.

Is there way to fix this issue with Note Caddy, i was planning on purchasing it.

In NoteCaddy, you can tweak how many cores NoteCaddy uses, NoteCaddy can even use hypertreading.

The AJackson Performance Guide might be helpful as well.
