Default NCE crashes when making notes

    Hey,

I got a persistent problem with NCE. When I grind the tables it's going all right. The HUD acts up rarely. However when I start to make notes in NCE Holdem Manager stops responding after around 10 minutes. I can't click on anything. It just crushes. I've tried reinstalling HM, NCE and database but it doesn't help. I got the newest version of HM2 and NoteCaddy. I got 12GB ram and i7 processor, SSD hard drive.

    Hi ilpolacco,

I'm sorry for your troubles, that definitely shouldn't be happening. I would try this first:
    1. In NoteCaddy click Tools / Vacuum Database, and let it complete.
    2. Close HM2 and restart your PC.

See if the problem is better after that

Hey! Thank you for your reply! I've tried that and I didn't help unfortunately.

    Hi ilpolacco,

Ok that's unfortunate. Can you please try creating a new database and importing the hands you need in it from your C:/Hm2Archive directory? All other settings will still be in your new database, so nothing will be lost.

Here's a link which shows how to create a new database.

Please let us know if the problem persists after that

    Hey,

I've tried your solution and created a new database. At the beginning when the base was small it worked pefectly but when it grew to around ~6 million hands and I started to create NC notes it started to crush again. So I guess the problem is somehow tied to the amount of NC notes.

You are probably running out of disk space. Make sure to run database maintenance periodically to ensure that your database doesn't grow out of control http://wiki.assaultware.com/NoteCadd...formation.ashx

No. I've got 90 GBs left out of 220.

Are you doing database maintenance though? For that many hands you need to be very active in ensuring that your database is properly tuned before and during the note creation process

Yes, I have my DB tuned as well as I do vacuuming, but it doesn't help.
