    Please update to this version
    http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloa...pdate_8563.exe

    Install VC++ 2013 from this link - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down....aspx?id=40784
    - If you have 64 Bit Windows you have to install vcredist_x64.exe and if you have 32 Bit Windows you have to install vcredist_x86.exe.* You can check your Windows Control Panel System details if you are not sure which version of Windows you use.

Please let us know if that solves the problem for you.

If you continue to have problems:

Please see this FAQ for help in resolving licensing issues:

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem and zip/attach your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ger+Support%3F

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply and updates.

I downloaded via the links but still had issues logging in using the original registered details. However, I set a new trial account using my other email address and this time I was able to log in and set up.

    All working perfectly now.

    thanks for your help.

    Hello!

I followed the guide's instructions. Neither did I know one of the drivers of postgresql.
„Please create a support ticket via the 'Contact Support' link here - https://support.holdemmanager.com/ - and if there is a forum thread with additional information please link to this thread and let us know your forum name if there are several people in the thread.”
I always received the same error message:
Problem running post-install step. Installation may not complete correctly. The database cluster initialisation failed.
You cannot then run HoldemManager2Setup. „Sorry, could not install PostgreSQL

    Help!

Every time I start Holdem Manager 2 it instantly freezes, and the only solution is to CTRL, ALT, Delete and close it. Second time it usually work just fine. This happens on every computer I'm installing Holdem Manager on, so it has to be a common issue ? Clearing database doesn't help.

    Any suggestion ?

I'm really sorry and I know there is nothing more frustrating than having issues like this when trying to play. I hope i can help you resolve this quickly.

What is your hard drive model, RAM and CPU? You can find this in your Control Panel - System - Device Manager. Sometimes lower spec PC's can contribute to lagging but that is not to say we can't still improve it further.

Are you running Notecaddy also and do you have many definitions or use any of the NC Edge or NC Advantage packages? Those can also have an impact on large database with large definitions. If you do I would suggest reading this thread which will help improve the performance when using NC - http://wiki.assaultware.com/NoteCadd...provement.ashx

You can also try the steps in the following AJA Performance Guide - http://www.notecaddy.com/NoteCaddy%2...ide%20v1.2.pdf

How big is your database and how many hero hands are in the database? If you have a large database you can try to edit the hm2 config file to force HM2 to use more or less RAM and see if it helps. Here is a text document with instructions if you want to try that also - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloa...kingSetCap.txt

In the meantime while you reply with those details I have a couple of things you can try that will improve the performance of your PC in general and may help if this scanning is the cause of the issues you're seeing.

Please check these 2 FAQs and try all the steps there to see if they help:
    - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...%28Firewall%29 - Resolves issues where security software continually try to scan files and processes which can slow down your PC
    - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...rts+%26+HUD%29 - General tips and solutions for performance issues

A few other things you could try to see if it helps when playing:
    - Does it help you disable the Settings > General Settings > Miscellaneous > [ ] 'Automatically Refresh' option and restart HM2?
    - Try leaving HM2 on the 'Home' tab when playing.
    - Try picking a villain in the reports that only has a few hands in your database instead of your hero and restart HM2.
    - Try creating a new smaller database with just hands from the past 1 or 2 months to use when playing - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...y+played+hands

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem, describe exactly what you were doing, and attach your new \HM2logs folder -

We need you to send us the log files we requested at the end of our previous reply if none of the steps helped.

None of those suggestions like leaving HM2 on the Home tab after you launch it, or creating a new smaller database helped?

Does it help if you try disabling Note Caddy? Open HUD Settings, make sure you are on the HUD Designer tab, and uncheck "Show Caddy notes in HUD." Restart HM2.

If you continue to have problems, please duplicate the issue and send us log files with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing:
    - Open Windows Event Viewer's (Control Panel - System & Security - Administrative Tools or Start - Search - 'Event Viewer') - Windows Logs - Applications.
    - Check for any errors and send the information (Save All Events As...).
    - Please send your \HM2Logs folder files as well - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ger+Support%3F

When sending any files please zip them (right-click - send to - compressed folder) before attaching them to an email. If the attachment is larger than 10MB please upload them to a file hosting site like dropbox, then right-click - 'copy dropbox link' and paste the download link directly into the support ticket email. If you have any problems with dropbox try using filedropper.com
