When I purge it will stay at "deleting hands"" for a while and the progress bar doesnt move.
And after that it will say restart hem to show correct hud.
Then when I restart the hands are still there.

How much free space do you have on your system/C drive and how big is the database according to the HM2 > Database > Database Info menu? You generally need more than twice as much free space as your database is big according to that menu.
Please see this FAQ to clear up some more free space - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...+of+Disk+Space
If you continue to have problems you can try moving the windows temp directories that we use for these database procedures to another drive that has more free space - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/gene...t-working.html
If you continue to have problems:
Please enable the Settings > Feature Logging > [x] 'DBControlPanel' option and increase the Max number of log files option to 10 so old logs are saved with date/time stamps.
You can also enable this before you launch HM2 from the Start Menu - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ging#startmenu
Please reproduce the problem and attach your log.txt file with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ger+Support%3F
Please zip and email the requested file to hm2support@holdemmanager.com with a link to this thread and your forum name.
I have plenty of space left. I have 100gb left and the database is 9gb.
The progress bar of deleting hands just, fills up like 1/100th of the total bar and then suddenly it stops and says to restart h
Also, empty your temp folder (c:\temp or c:\users\username\appdata\local\temp)*
Move it to a different location.
Please see this FAQ to alleviate any security bottlenecks - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...olders+HM2+use
* You will need to show system and hidden files. See this tutorial for showing system and hidden files:

Ok ive tried everything and it didnt work.
I now tried creating a new database and backing up the old one.
But somehow when I restore the new database all the hands are there too.
Is there a way to backup the player notes and not backup all the hands?
Choose not to backup the database in the steps, and you can just backup the other items you wish to backup.
Please see this FAQ to transfer/backup data:
http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...dem+Manager%3F
This will ensure that you have your hand histories and HUD saved to import into a new computer, and as a backup to restore in case of an emergency.
