Default Avira antivirus finds the new Hm2 Zoom fix as a Trojan Horse...

I have Hm2 , tableninja and pokerstars.exe to my Avira antivirus exception list

When I installed the new beta update from Hm2 2.00.8167, avira antivirus
find the File StarsCommunicator.hm2 as a Trojan with name Crypt.TPM.Gen

The location of the file is

    C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp\StarsCommunic ator.Hm2

I 'm going to put the file in the antivirus exception list also to be able to play Zoom again, but first I have to kindly ask you what is that file and why it is on a TEMP directory? (the temp directory is looking strange to me)

That is a false positive. That is a new file from us to get the Zoom HUD working - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/hm2-...ml#post2349882

It should get installed to the \holdem manager 2 folder in program files.

Actually for me also the file(StarsCommunicator.Hm2) is at: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp\
    and not at:
    ProgramFiles\Holdem Manager 2\

I have tried re-installing latest HM2 build again and the file (StarsCommunicator.Hm2) is not saved in ProgramFiles folder but instead in Temp folder.
    I am using 64bit Windows 7 machine.

I am using Win 7 64-bit too. I have the file located at BOTH these places & my Zoom HUD is perfect:-

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Holdem Manager 2 and
    C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\Temp

    Most likely you've overlooked it

I can actually see the file in both the location though I couldnt find it in Program files folder while I was actually playing zoom. Not sure if I overlooked :|

did you add exception for both the files for your antivirus program?
My antivirus alerts me for trojan for the file in temp directory.

I have just added it to my Avast!, but it wasn't causing me troubles before. I have also told Avast! to ignore .hm2 file extension when scanning

You need to add the update file to your exceptions. Avast does this a lot and we do not recommend using it.

    Please see this FAQ:
