What is the signification of the $ value in step 2? Is that the amount which I would earn when I correct the leak?

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean exactly. The only $ number in step 2 is total $'s you've won. There's no other reference to that information that I'm aware of. In advanced mode there's a bb/100 graph showing potential win rates if you go above or below recommended LB ranges.
