So if you think this is unacceptable you should definately consider switching to PT4, if you think their product is somewhat good as well, it is all just a decision.

Chances of managerial improvement are very slim, this type of bad communication towards their customers shows a real high level of incompetence, so do not expect it. Most likely the company is a bunch of programmers with shitty middle management, and probably a dude or some dudes at the top who are competent but not super actively involved in troubleshooting.
    Yes, very incompetent managing!!!
If this company is serious someone should loose their job today... not for making a mistake in the first place, but for not carring AT ALL for all the paying costumers suffering from the problem with the software.

Looking at your joining date you have had HM for 5 years, it costs $99 that's $20 a year so far on an ever decreasing scale. The programme was out a few hours and for your $20 you want heads to roll. I suppose by that logic any outages over 36 hours should result in a public hanging or stoning.

Get real dude, they provide an excellent product that is cheap to use and is reliable 99% of the time, if the product wasn't so good, would there be so many crying on this thread over the outage?

The HM registration servers were down for a few hours starting at 4AM GMT today. The problem was not resolved until the server was reset at 11 AM GMT.

We sincerely apologize for our delay in response to this situation. Specific protocols in place for alerts failed to happen coupled with an unfortunate few hour gap in coverage on our support desk that coincided with the time frame. We are working now to ensure that this does not occur again.

Everything is working fine now, thanks. I only have to start HEM2 and it works like regular again, no trial expired issues or registration needed.
