5handed tables UTG/MP noting

When making a note for a 5handed table notecaddy makes the note for first player as UTG. As is common to Holdem Manager software usually when there is a 5handed table the first player should be noted as MP, as there are 4 players left to act (as the first player is noted as CO in a 4handed table).

Is this a known issue?

I think the question should be if this is an issue at all. That MP would be the 1st to act is fundamentally unlogic:

"mid·dle (mĭd′l)
adj.
Equally distant from extremes or limits; central: the middle point on a line."

The 1st position being UTG is obviously correct.

Etymologically speaking you're totally right.

But in the real world Notecaddy is meant to help poker players in practice, and as on most sites there is no 5-handed table it would be much better for players that MP was the first to act in a 5max table. All players (or almost) play accordingly to players left to act, and not their denotation as Under The Gun ou Middle Position.

At the moment when I try to see what is the actual opening range for someone from UTG on a 6max table I would have to record the number of players on the table - and there is awfull in terms of efficiency both at the moment you're playing and for processing matters.

Another good option would be to enumerate players left to act and not the position denotation in the dictionary. Like "8 players left to act = UTG"
