I have read all the relevant threads and I am still confused. I want to get a new computer - the question is mainly regarding SSD+HDD COMBO
- I only have 300k hands in my DB but this will grow in the next few years - Is it a good idea to get a 128GB/120GB SSD dedicated to HM2 + Postgres?. The only thing that worries me is that on the uninstall a program window it shows Postgres' file size to be 108GB I have read somewhere this is incorrect.
Could you please clarify how I could use a 120/128GB SSD and a 1TB HDD storage set up to my advantage in terms of optimising the performance of HM2. Is it advisable to keep the OS and all other files on a HDD and all HM2 related stuff on a 120 or 128GB SSD?? Will this be enough or do I need to get 256GB SSD? or is this whole SSD thing overrated?
PS: Please dont post a link to best ssd config using hem2-nc it confused the hell out of me - I just want a simple answer yes a SSD of 120gb or so will make HM2 run better along with a HDD containing the OS and all other files - or No terrible idea....etc etc
