From here I get this:
"EP Early Position - First 2 seats on FR, first to act at 6-MAX"
The italics is mine and key to my issue. This is very much standard and at a full table (6 or FR) I have no problems with the logic. However, let's look at a 6 max table and let us say that there is a seat vacant (or player sitting out); how does this effect what/who gets called EP? In particular I'm thinking of this scenario:
Table 'AnyYouName' 6-max Seat #6 is the button
Seat 1: VillainA
Seat 2: Hero
Seat 3: VillainB
Note: seat 4 is occupied but the player is sitting out.
Seat 5: VillainD
Seat 6: VillainE
VillainA: posts small blind
Hero: posts big blind
VillainC: sits out
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to Hero [4s 6c 6h Kc]
VillainB: raises
VillainD: folds
VillainE: folds
VillainA: folds
Hero: folds
Uncalled bet returned to VillainB
In my assessment, VillainB was in EP (specifically UTG), raised first in and everyone folded. Thus, VillainB's stat for raise_first_in(EP) should increment. Is this correct or does the missing player in seat 4 change the dynamics of the positional stats?
