Default Bet river vs. river c-bet

I notice that many HUDs contain both of these stats.

Is it really necessary to have them both? Don't they provide similar information (I'm familiar with the definitions)?

If I can get away with just one, which would you recommend and why?

cbet is only a hand where the bettor was the preflop raiser and continued aggression on each street before the one in question.

Bet river is any time they have bet the river, no matter what happened prior.

As I said in my original post, I'm familiar with the definitions.

My question is: do you see any reason to have both of these in your HUD?
If not, do you prefer one over the other, and why?

    You don't need both.
In fact most players have neither of them in their HUD.
Instead they add postflop aggression stats for all streets: Flop Agg / Turn Agg / River Agg.

    River bet seems so arbitrary.
Was the line check check bet? did they raise turn? Are they donk'ing out?
Given no knowledge of flop and turn action, I actually question how this stat can be useful.

I don't have an opinion on how useful this stat is personally but some customers find value in it so we made the stat available to use. If you don't find value in the stat you can remove it from the HUD and use other stats in it's place. You likely won't get much feedback from other customers on this subject as most customers come here for their problem/solution they posted in their own thread and don't spend much time reading other customer's threads to leave feedback.

I am sorry I couldn't be of more help. If you want feedback from other players you might want to try posting the question on a forum like twoplustwo in one of their strategy forums to see what stats other grinders use and get their input.
