Ok, so you think the issue occurred when you went to win 8.1. I'm asking the hm2 team what they did, because we haven't seen an issue like this. I'm not sure what could have changed, but I'll have the developers look into it.
Do you have any news regarding this issue?
HM confirmed they had an Win 8.1 license issue. I guess Windows changed how it authenticates, so we are working with them on a solution. It shouldn't be long.

I have pretty much the same issue: HM1 works on Windows 8.1 after applying the solution offered on this website, Leak Buster does not. Already emailed the support a few weeks ago but did not get any reply. Now I've just updated Leak Buster to version 3.0.9, but the problem still persists...
When I start LB it tells me to authorise it as an administrator. After doing that, it says "A valid license could not be obtained for LeakBuster2.5". These are details:

I tried the solution mention on page 1, but it did not work:
There is no "LeakBuste2.5HM2.lic" (any more) in the folder mentioned, only the "HoldemManager.lic".1. Close Holdem Manager.
2. Delete the file called 'LeakBuster2.5HM2.lic' (or similar file name) stored in 'C:\ProgramData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses' and try registering again. This file is hidden by default, so most people think that no files exist in that folder. In Windows 7, when you have windows explorer open, simply click ORGANIZE in the top left menu, and then select 'Folder and search options'. Go to the VIEW tab, and then check 'Show hidden files and folders' and uncheck 'Hide protected operating system files' in 'Folder Options'.
3. If you are using XP check for this folder for the ‘LeakBuste2.5HM2.lic’: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\AppData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\
4. Open Holdem Manager and run Leak Buster. Re-register Leak Buster

Correct. There's not a HM1 LB NL Win 8.1 solution yet. There will be soon.
So what is the solution then?
I believe it's being released Mon/Tuesday. I know it was already completed. The developer held off on it for some reason, but I'm not 100% sure why. But it will be out this coming week.
