Are badges actives by default?

Hi!, Im a HU player and I use Notecaddy since few time ago. Working on new Note definitions I realized that I never see a badge on a player, are them active by default?

Questions like this always irritate me as NoteCaddy has by far the best documentation of all software for online-Poker.....
