Not able to login HEM

    Default Not able to login HEM

    Hi,

    I,ve had an electricity shutdown and since then, when I try to open HEM1, it says: The following error occured when trying to open the database; Failed to establishing a connection to 127.0.0.1.

    I click ok it brings me to connect to postgresql place I click connect and it says a connection to post gre could not be made. Would you like to have HEM attemps to start the service.

    I say yes but HEM was not able to start the service...

    This is usually a firewall or windows update issue.

    First try to reboot.

    If no help, try this:

    Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

    Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

    If that doesnt help delete the \postgresql\8.x\data\postmaster.pid file, if you see it. And reboot.


    If that doesn't help you will have to reinstall PostgreSQL completely
