My postgres folder is 167gig and my hm2 database folder is 10gig, any idea why this is happening?
I purged all hands before this year, so max a few million hands in my db atm. Logging is turned off.

Are you using NoteCaddy?
Vacuum/analyse/reindex the database in pgadminIII, or in HM2--> Home tab--> Database--> Maintenace

No notecaddy and I did Vacuum/analyse/reindex multiple times, the DB just keeps growing..
Go to C:/Program Files(x86)/PostgreSQL/8.4/data/base
what's the size of this folder?
What's the size of your
C:/Program Files(x86)/PostgreSQL/8.4/data/pg_xlog folder and
C:/Program Files(x86)/PostgreSQL/8.4/data/pg_log folder?
Is your /base folder taking up the full 167 GB?
In HM2--> hud option--> displayed stats--> was 'start caddy report / show caddy notes' both turned off?

base folder was taking all the space, the db just kept growing even while i wasnt playing/importing
show caddy notes is on, show report is off
"show caddy notes is on" means Caddy works.
What you can do is:
Disable that flag + restart HM to stop Caddy
then open PGadmin, find your DB there and delete these 2 tables
notecaddy_data
notecaddy_scatter
After that do DB mainternance (vacuum full + analyze AND reindex full)
As you should understand, this will delete all Caddy notes from DB.
If you agree with this - proceed, DB size will decrease dramatically. Personally I have seen 14x
I have dropped my db and imported my hands into a new db because my ssd couldnt keep up with the growth of the db, i hope i wont encounter this problem again, im on a clean windows/hdd install, otherwise ill follow your tips. Btw I havent used notecaddy ever, dno if this is the source of the problem
If so - disable Caddy as I told. Uncheck "show Caddy notes" flag and restart HM.
And do this before you fill new DB with lot of hands.
Never mind...i did it through the note caddy client in HM2
My DB shrank from 260 down to 12.5 giga.....20x
