Default HM Crashes on start up, tried everything

    Hello,

I was using hold em manager until one day when I tried opening it, an error prevented me from using the software.

It crashes upon execution. I have attached a screen shot of the error and tried everything in your forum link below to rectify the problem. Nothing worked.

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Can you manually run a Windows Update and install all important/critical updates, AND all non-critical .net framework updates

I am running Windows 7, 64 bit. I am not currently using any anti virus - uninstalled Avast Pro to try and troubleshoot.

I have already set the permissions for dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe to run as administrator.

I have uninstalled .net framework and installed .net framework 3.5 service pack 1

but non of these have fixed the problem

Manually run a Windows Update.... there is no .net framework 4.0 that can be installed?

Reinstall HM using the 93 mb full installer @ http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloa...ager_Setup.exe

Install it to a DIFFERENT folder.

    Try this:
    Reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework:

    1) Download and run this uninstaller -
    http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/dot...eanup_tool.zip
    2) Install this one:
    http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...dotnetfx35.exe

I just did everything at once, i.e.

    used revo uninstaller,
    re installed dotnetfx,
    *already had windows update
*made sure all privileges were set to administrator

and still nothing. Is there anything else I can do?
