It seems that it worked, thx.
Correction.
Since I did this:
1. I am receiving the "desktop composition" message. Now, I did have that enabled before but now when I try to enable it, it refuses to stay enabled (nothing happens).
2. My sessions are not recorded in HEM anymore. I see some stats when playing but I don't know if they are updating with new data (presumably not).
3. My own data on the table does not show, which I assume is since nothing is working so this is extension of the 2.
How can I force my computer to enable this freaking "desktop composition"?
To speed this up I am attaching dxdiag report.
Edit: OK it seems that I had to redefine HH import folder to solve issue 2 (and hopefully 3). Still, question 1 remains (if the only problem is occasional crash, I can live with it).

Change to an aero-based windows desktop theme.
Then change the decomposition settings.

Hmmm. I am kind of old school (as in, C64 old ) and like my desktop simple.
I can live with occasional crashes of HEM (restart takes maybe 15 seconds) if I can have a nice clean desktop.
Is that the only "danger" if I don't do the desktop composition?
But thanks anyway
You can just ignore the "desktop composition" message, and turn on to not show the message again.

I bought Leak Buster and everything got messed up again.
Question: Is it possible to somehow save my column settings so when I do the deletion thing I can upload the settings from somewhere? Now I have to manually recreate everything and it sucks.
I'm not sure how that would mess them up.
They are saved in config\column settings in
7: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\User_name\Application Data\HoldemManager

Should I just backup all the folders and when something happens just turn off HM, delete everything, put backups to replace deleted files, and turn HM back on?
