HEM suddenly stopped working

I opened holdem manager today and the database control panel popped up saying that it could not connect to PostgreSQL. When I click yes to have HEM attempt to start the service it says a connection can't be made. I had been using HEM without a problem for about 2 months and this suddenly happened a couple days ago. My version is fully updated any ideas what my problem could be?

I still wasn't able to start PostgreSQL, would these steps be your next advice http://208.109.95.123/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=171 ? If so, can I reinstall the firewall and anti viruses after Im done with the steps and still have the program work?

Yeah you can reinstall them after, this seems to happen alot after windows updates and this is usually the quickest way to resolve it

I am having trouble reinstalling PostgreSQL, apparently because windows installer can't install it. I have winzip, so the file is unzipped, any ideas how I can get the installation to work?

What is the error message you are getting?

you need to unzip all files

What other files do I need to unizip other than postgresql-8.3?
