    Default Trouble with imporitng hands

    My System (Win7 Prof x64, Asus M4A87TD 870 AM3, AMDPhenom II x4 965, 6GB Kingston HyperX DDR3, 1024MB Sapphire Radeon HD 685, 120 GB OCZ RevoDrive; 1st partition for OS, 2nd for a DB) crashes when i import hand histories from Pokerstars on live import at more than 6 tables at a once or on import form an other DB. theese crashes go along with a very distorted sreen and an inital reboot of my OS.
    I reinstalled postgres (Versions 8.4, also tryed 9.0) and HM (1.11.05) but it didn't help. When i install everyting on a HDD and dont have any porblems.
    i have installed the newest driver, deactivated Anitivir and Aero, run every single Application of HM as admin. i cant deactivate hardware acceleration because i can't check any box at the "Troubleshoot"-Tab.
    As i dont use many other programms i cannot tell much about them, but i did not have any trouble installing Starcraft 2 or playing it.
    I also made some Burn-in test form Sandra SiSoft and benchmarked each component, but everything is fine (just the engery efficiency takes pretty long).
    Do you have any ideas what i can do to fix that problem?

    PS: i already asked in the german subforum but net shark could not help me with this problem so i try to get more imput in the international forum, so please dont delete this.

    Did you run a CHKDISK/SCANDISK to see if it finds any errors for the RevoDrive.
    Is there a firmware update for the RevoDrive or any talk about similar issues on the OCZ forum?

    Did you edit the postgresql.conf file (read:
    http://forums.holdemmanager.com/mana...ease-tips.html ) assigning more RAM to SQL?

    Can you run a CrystalDiskMark benchmark of the RevoDrive, what are its 4K read and write speeds??

    i set shared_buffers = 256MB and effective_cache_size = 512MB
    is there a reasen why there is a "#" infrot of effective_cache_size but not at shared_buffers? anyways, my system crashed again while importing my old DB

    All your results look good.

    As a test, can you install SQL to partition C:/
    If that works (no crashes during import)--> format partition D:/

    yesterday i tryed some more stuff (almost every windows+ssd tunig from the other thread) but i think that went wrong and my system crashed sometimes during idle mode. when i was doing something (playing SC2, which is on C, or surfing etc.) everthing was fine.
    Now i think its not the SSD because my system crashed while playing with postgres and HM installed on my HDD. so now i am very confused and have no idea becaue i dont see any reason for the crashes. i mean my system is strong is enough, i have a bequiet 500W Powersupply and i can import a larg amoung of hands in time.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

    ok, i think my problem has nothing to do with HM.
    after reinstalling my OS and HM the failure occures even more often, also on SC2, SiSoft Sandra and other non HM-related software.
    anyways, thank you for your support.

    EDIT:
    FYI: i deactivaed my onboard soundcard and everything works fine =)
