We are working on an all new proprietary licensing system now that we hope will resolve this issue and others. With any luck it will be released some time early this year.

so after all this years this thread is old hm2 still cant be used offline ? is there any fix ?? or impossible because of license checking ?? i need to use it offline too :\

You will need to be online regularly, but it should work offline for a time without needing to validate on the server.
