    Default Bug in PLO hand strengths on the river (OK THERE IS A BUG :O )

    Hi,

    I found some bug in how NC evaluates hands on the river. Here are a few examples:

    Board: Jd 9d 2s Kh 3c

    Here a few hands:

    Ad Kc 7h 5h => TPTK/4, score: 47

    Ad Kc 4h 5h => TPTK/13, score: 86

    Qd Tc 4h 5h => Nut Str, score: 93
    This hand is the nuts and should probably be given a score of 100 right?

    The problem is that NC evaluates the hands as a combination of made hand and draw which is fine on the flop, but we are on the river now

    I hope you can fix this soon

    Thanks
    Morten

    The strength is what % of hands this beats. Since there are many hands that split that straight, it can't be 100. Furthermore, as per the manual NoteCaddy General Strength - Assaultware Wiki it is an estimate and can be off by a few percent. To make it more accurate would slow down note creation.

    This is not a bug and will not be "fixed"

    But how do you explain this:

    Board: Jd 9d 2s Kh 3c

    Ad Kc 7h 5h => TPTK/4, score: 47
    Ad Kc 4h 5h => TPTK/13, score: 86

    It seems like the hand is "rewarded" for a draw on the river?

    I misunderstood that one and am unwilling/able to explain it but I will make sure that scenario can't happen for the next version. 86 is way too high for the second hand.

    Thank you for letting me know

    Ok, thanks!

    It seems like NC is still rewarding hands for having a draw on the river - if that is any help

    Hand: 7d 7s 8d Td
    Board: 4h 7c 6d 8s Ts
    Strength: 99

    The hand has only about 55% equity vs a random hand on the river

    Where did you get the 55% figure? There are no made flushes and you'd need two of your cards to make a straight

    I used Equilab but it's about the same with ProPokerTools:
