    Default Database gone?

It's a long story, but I'm really bad with computers so hopefully someone can tell me where I stand!

At my new appartment I had troubles connecting to my wifi station and started looking on google on possible solutions. I read about a winsockfix.exe which would help. I executed this, but the problem wasn't solved. In stead my HEM was f00ked.

I bought a new wifi adapter and now my internet works, but my HEM doesn't work. I reinstalled postgres, but it seems like my database is gone.

When I try to open HEM I get the following error: the following error occured when trying to open the database: FATAL: 3D000: database "Holdemmanager march09" does not exist.

When I look on my C drive @ postgreSQL I now have 2 folders:

    - 8.3: my old postgres and its 8.3gb big
    - 9: 164mb (new).

Is it possible that my db is still somewhere there in the 8.3 folder, because it's really big?

Is there any possibility to retrieve my hands? (I played on microgaming skin and always deleted those database files when they got too large so that's not an option and some full tilt)

Now I created a new database which is completely empty. Do I have to start from scratch?

    Thanks in advance,

    curve

The only way to restore your old data is to uninstall postgresql 9.0 and reinstall Postgresql 8.3 following this FAQ: FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Reinstall PostgreSQL Preserving Old Database
(download it from PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database)
