    Default Combining 2 Databases

Common situation, I'm sure, but cannot find it in the FAQ or help section.

    Laptop hands
    Desktop hands

I was trying to backup and import that file but that didn't work. What is the actual file that I should be looking for?

Hope this question makes sense. Thanks for any help.

    You can backup/restore a database.
You can't merge two of those backups.

So you'll manually have to reimport the desktop's archive folder to the laptop (and vice versa) to sync the two databases.

This forum makes me feel so inept at times. How do you find this file? I searched, looked through my folders and I'm not seeing it. Thanks again Patvs

I do not see that folder in this location. Was there a step where I create it that I'm missing?

Check your HM auto-import settings. Its the archive folder we use as default setting.

If you didn't change this setting you should find it if you open your windows explorer or workplace and navigate to c:. There must be a subfolder named hmarchive.

How do I do this? I looked through options - settings and adding auto import folder but I cannot find auto-import settings.

"click here to add auto-import folders" or Options->configure auto-import folders.

To see the archive folders you need to select a row and click on "Edit".
