    Default Backup/Restore function

Question... If my old DB is using postgres 8.3 and I use the backup/restore function to back up my DB

If I install postgres 8.4 on my new computer and restore my DB to HEM will it work?

or will I have any issues?

    Thanks!

SQL 8.3 and 8.4 are not compatible with each other.
So either also install 8.3 on your new computer enabling you to restore the backup.

Or install 8.4 and reimport all your original handhistories into a new database.
