Works for me, although a better step by step explanation may help others.

PLease fix this asap
Hi,
I've got the following problem.
We can offer a temporary solution till we fix Pacific HUD issue in HM
1) Download previous 888 client version installer here: http://setupspoker.images4us.com/set...pokersetup.exe
and install it "over existing"
2) Then make a backup copy (archive) for these folders
C:\Program Files (x86)\PacificPoker
(for XP users path is C:\Program Files\PacificPoker)
%appdata%\PacificPoker
3) Start 888 client, when it update itself - close it. (This updating can take time, depending on internet connection speed, and even can happen not on first client run)
4) Restore backuped in (2) folders - now when you start client, it will think his version is already new and not proceed update.
5) With this old client version HM works OK.
After installing "over existing" the most recent version of 888.com client launches automatically and as I assume consequently updates automatically. I'm user of Windows 7. Could you please advise how to tackle this problem?
When I start 888.com after making backup it doesn't update itself.
thanks in advance,

I'm facing the following problem.
After installing "over existing" the most recent version, client of 888.com launches automatically and if I interpret correctly udpates itself. After making back up when I launch client it doesn't update. I'm user of Windows 7. What can be done to solve this problem?
Yes, this was the idea of trick - to stop client updating.
And another bump - are you guys ever going to fix this?
Fix is being worked on - but workaround posted works, I personally have seen this in some teamviewer sessions.
Yes, 888 client tries to update itself again - but stops. Then it shows "new" version in Help-about - but actually files are old - this is what we need.
this wont work for me
where do i copy and replace files ?
what does this mean ?=4) Restore backuped in (2) folders - now when you start client, it will think his version is already new and not proceed update.

the fix isnt working that well anymore, it works until I restart my computer and then the client patches itself.
Fix?
