I made hud pop up changes but it insists on displaying the old original sample pop up. How do I make it so that HEM chooses to use my new pop up? Shouldn't it be doing it automatically?

You need to configure the relation between popups and hud configuration.

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.
In hud options--> player preferences--> you've selected your new HUD popup?
Or did you make changes to the default popups?
