Importing Postgres 8.2 Data into Postgres 8.4

I just reinstalled HM and ended up with a fresh copy of Postgres 8.4

My original HM data is accessible to me, but it's in a Postgres 8.2 database.

I really need to move the historical data into my new instance of HM (into Postgres 8.4). I am running Windows XP.

Any suggestions / advice are greatly welcome.

SQL 8.2 and 8.4 are NOT compatible with each other.
So either manually install SQL 8.2 on your new PC--> restore your old database

Or reimport all the original handhistories into the 8.4 database

yep - had to install PostGres 8.2 as a service, run HM and export all HH files.

Then stop HM, shutdown 8.2, start 8.4, run HM and import all HH files. 30 minutes later, I was back in shape.
