    Default database in wrong location?

    XP pro
    HM2 2.0.0.7318
    psql 9.2

    Why has HM2 got it's DBs in C:/...Application Data\HoldemManager\Database

psql and it's data folder are installed on a different drive.

For performance reasons a part of the HM2 database is not managed by postgresql. This part (the database parent folder) is located in the folder you posted. You can change this folder when you create a database.

We do not recommend using PSQL 9.2 with HM2 at this time. You should stick with 8.4 or 9.0 if you want to minimize your chance of PSQL issues.

    Too late mate.

    Seems to be working O.K.

The problems we have noticed so far with 9.2 seem to occur when doing things like backup/restore. The general importing seems to work well but if you need to export/purge/backup/restore using our Database Manager you may run in to some problems.

I only noticed this because defrag was taking a long while in that folder.
Looking in there I find two folders created after a HM2 update.

    HoldemManager2_Obsolete
    HoldemManager2_Updated
    both over 1 GB

    and the presumably current folder
    HoldemManager2

    which is massive

can I delete the obsolete and updated?

Yes, you can delete the obsolete database. (which is the old database, prior to the database update)
